[nō-ˈma-dik] What does it mean to YOU?

Nomadic [nō-ˈma-dik]: adj. Relating to, or characteristic of, being on the move.

What does it mean to be nomadic?

At Nomadic Leaders, we believe “nomadic” is, first and foremost, a state of mind.

To be nomadic is to be a mover and a shaker, regardless of where you are.

It’s about moving from within.

It’s about doing what it takes to move forward: from where you are currently, to where you’re headed.

It’s about building momentum, propelling a movement, moving hearts and minds, and moving and inspiring others into action with you.

It’s about trail-blazing.

It’s about the exploration and discovery of unpaved roads and new horizons.

It’s about creating a ripple effect.

It’s about setting new ideas into motion.

It’s about speaking up.

It’s about challenging the “status quo”.

It’s about unleashing potentials and welcoming new perspectives.

It’s about immersion into new experiences.

It’s about following where an idea leads.

It’s about believing in your dreams and taking action on behalf of your deepest desires.

It’s about embarking on a brave personal journey, an exploration of what’s around the bend, beyond the horizon, and above the clouds.

==> Do YOU consider yourself to be nomadic? Why or why not?

I do consider myself to be nomadic as I am always either travelling or planning the next trip. Even though my life has been tumultuous of late, I believe the trip I am about to embark upon is the beginning of my permanent travelling lifestyle. It is something I have wanted for a while and will possibly pursue permanently.

It’s the type of lifestyle and mindset that to me is so rewarding; seeing and experiencing different cultures, enjoying the randomness of life when I truly submit to my adventurous spirit within, gaining invaluable life skills from having to deal with unlikely situations, watching the world reveal its unmistakeable beauty in so many ways, creating endless possibilities for what my life can be, and the list could go on.

Now I’m even more excited! 🙂

Beautifully said, Tiago. My favorite part: “…watching the world reveal its unmistakeable beauty…”
      Excited for you!!

Commenting on my own blog is rather unconventional … but I simply can’t resist quoting a comment made by a woman named Reba, in response to the Nomadic Leaders blog post entitled “Travel Far Enough to Meet Yourself” which you can find here: http://nomadicleaders.com/meetyourself/

It’s just too relevant NOT to share! Reba wrote: “I believe that being ever more true to our authentic selves is a journey we are all on, whether we travel or stay at home. Both types of travel take courage, of different sorts.”

Well said, right?!? Indeed they do, and both are nomadic in their own right … at least by how we at ‘Nomadic Leaders’ define the word. 🙂 Here’s to a community of movers and shakers, regardless of where you are and how long you’ve been there!
